Dear Visitor!
You are welcome to Kashkay’s family personal page.
Our family roots refer to the antique history of nomad Turkish Qashqai (Kash’kai) tribes who were forced to migrate from Central Asia to Persia by Jengiz Khan in 13 cc – 14 cc. Passing through Gandja city (Azerbaijan) a part of pride, having some argues on leadership, separated and became settled. The rest tribes moved further and currently are located in Fars province of Iran. Those who settled down in Gandja kept the name thought the centuries. The name is derived from the Turkish "Kashka" meaning a horse with a white star on its forehead.
